Through Ainsley Farrell's "Dirt" + Interview
As a music enthusiast and writer, I encounter unexpected discoveries and chance meetings regularly. One such instance arose when an old acquaintance reintroduced me to the captivating melodies of Ainsley Farrell. Little did I anticipate that this reunion would lead to hosting Ainsley and her exceptional ensemble at a Live Session @ Tiki La La several months later.

Interview with Council Grounds
Emerging from a perpetual state of creative discontent and a disregard for conventional success, Council Grounds embarks on a sonic journey aimed at dismantling the tired norms of alternative rock. Their arsenal of drums, bass, and fuzz-laden guitars provides a sturdy foundation, while their impassioned melodies teeter on the edge between dreamy indie-pop and raw post-punk fervor. Lyrically, they spare no punches, delivering a narrative drenched in unfiltered authenticity, capturing the essence of a life that's both aimless and profoundly human amidst the chaos

Post-Release Interview, “Serpent Season One” - Hydra Fashion Week - A Deep Dive
When this album started, I was really into experimental post-punk groups like “The Pop Group” and ‘James Chance & The Off-Whites’, and I was also very inspired by Miles Davis’ early 70s records. Particularly “On The Corner”. There’s freewheeling nature to that music that feels so open and untethered, yet also so groovy. Great rhythms!
More recently I have been listening to a lot of progressive rap like ‘Playboi Carti’ and hyper-pop like ‘100 Gecs’ and ‘SOPHIE’
