Daniel Avery releases Tremor (Deluxe Version) via Domino on May 1st

Revered producer and composer Daniel Avery has returned to the world of his latest work with the announcement of Tremor (Deluxe Edition), released digitally via Domino on Friday, May 1st. This expanded edition serves as the definitive final chapter of the Tremor era, introducing four brand-new tracks alongside three striking remixes that further deepen the album’s rich emotional and sonic landscape. To mark the announcement, Avery also shared a new video for "Lazy Dreams," a collaboration featuring the distinctive vocals of yunè pinku.

Written specifically to close this creative chapter, the new songs extend the album's immersive world with a renewed sense of introspection. In keeping with the project's collaborative spirit, Avery is joined not only by yunè pinku but also by Art School Girlfriend on "Give Your Feelings a Try." These additions are steeped in nostalgia yet remain firmly forward-facing, capturing the core emotional tension between darkness and quiet euphoria that defined the original record.

The deluxe edition also features reimagined versions of key tracks from three heavyweight producers. Australian duo X CLUB. provides a hazy, trip-hop-leaning rework of "Rapture In Blue," while Detroit techno pioneer DJ Stingray 313 delivers a high-velocity, machine-driven take on "Greasy Off The Racing Line." Rising producer IMOGEN completes the set with an energized, uptempo version of "Haze," pushing the material deeper into club territory. Avery notes that these contributors are part of an expanding "love story" with the world of Tremor, with both IMOGEN and DJ Stingray having recently joined him during his residency at Phonox in London.

This release follows a landmark period for Avery, building on the success of his Tremor (Midnight Versions) project and a sold-out four-week residency. The original album featured an expansive cast of collaborators, including Alison Mosshart, Walter Schreifels, and yeule, and was mixed by legendary engineers Alan Moulder and David Wrench. As Avery prepares to bring his live show to Australian festivals like Rising, VIVID, and Dark Mofo this June, this deluxe edition stands as a fitting celebration of an album defined by movement, memory, and communal spirit.
